Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for planning, directing, organizing, controlling and implementing specific cash management products and services commensurate with the objectives of the commercial banking team and Capital Bank.  Responsible for independently setting goals and strategies to achieve a competitive advantage within Capital Bank’s markets, while forecasting future needs.  Position works with product management on the development and on-going maintenance, including enhancements and modifications, of all products and services to maintain competitive advantages or to maximize revenue to the Bank.  Position also works with operations to ensure the Bank is maximizing either revenue or reducing expense with third party vendors.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are to ensure the following:  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Measures product results, understand product dynamics, and ensure highest product quality and client experience
  • Maximizes fee income potential for the Bank by clearly understanding existing expense structures and historical fee waivers
  • Works closely with operations to understand competitive pricing, float, ECR and other revenue drivers within the Bank’s market area
  • Creates additional product feature/functionality in order to maximize revenue and deposit opportunities
  •  Works with Senior Lenders, Retail Executives and other departments to develop marketing strategies that differentiate our products and services from our competition
  • Drives Corporate Services’ strategic product delivery direction
  • Identifies and targets potential customers and/or markets for products
  • Influences sales force regarding strategies, markets and customers
  • Recommends new products or enhancements as changes are warranted or justified and promote/market products throughout the bank
  • Evaluates business plans based on strategic goals

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning hiring, staffing, training, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Provides leadership by example at all times, through support and endorsement of bank policy.

  COMPLIANCE

Must have the ability to comprehend and adhere to Federal and State banking regulations, Company policies and procedures, and successfully participate in regulatory and Company training requirements via multiple and variable delivery methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required
  • Six years experience in bank operations, preferably in a supervisor’s capacity, or eight years of treasury/cash management industry related experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Certified Treasury Professional designation preferred
  • Accredited ACH Professional designation preferred
