Freelance Business Writer

Business Writer, The Motley Fool
The Motley Fool is looking for brilliant, compelling freelance writers who can present the Foolish business angle on the news of the day, whether it’s stemming from Capitol Hill or Hollywood, Cupertino or Cooperstown, or anywhere in the world.
We want insightful analysis with a perspective that can’t be found elsewhere. Articles could range from the cost of switching from Android to iOS to the broader economic impact of cutting food stamp benefits to the return on investment for the Yankees if they agree to pay Robinson Cano $300 million; you’re not required to include a forward-looking investment thesis, just great business writing. We want our freelance contributors to be experts on a topic, and we want them to have a passion for the stories they pursue.
You’ll be paid on a per-article basis, and there will be incentives for articles that perform well in search, so a knowledge of SEO will help. Contributors who wow us on a regular basis will be considered for a writing contract with the Fool.
If you’re interested, please shoot an email to TheBusiness@fool.com. If you have relevant clips, feel free to include. Also, our in-house team at The Motley Fool wants to find freelancers who want to work with us as partners, so antagonistic, self-important divas need not apply.
Are you a returning user?
|Have you applied to the Fool before July 2007? Congratulations, you're old skool. But, we've upgraded! And, now you'll need a super secret password to update your application, so go ahead and click the Forgot Password link below to get a new one.|
