Temporary, Casual Employment Opportunities
OCAD University (OCAD U) is Canada’s largest specialized university of art, media and design. Located on a twelve-building campus in the heart of downtown Toronto, OCAD U offers a vibrant and stimulating work environment for its faculty, administrative staff, and more than 3800 undergraduate and 150 graduate students.
To address temporary staffing needs, OCAD U welcomes applications from individuals interested in completing short-term assignments at the University in the following types of roles:
• Customer Service
• Data Entry
In addition to relevant education and work experiences, OCAD U seeks applicants with:
• A demonstrated commitment to client service, specifically in relation to faculty, staff, students and external contacts
• A demonstrated ability to work independently and participate collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to multiple and changing priorities
• A demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity and diversity, and proven ability to deal effectively with a diverse population
Vacancies may vary in length but are generally of a short-term, casual nature. Compensation will be established based on the scope of the temporary assignment, and in accordance with the University’s compensation practices.
