Sr. Network Administrator

General Purpose

Responsible for managing day-to-day of all aspects of the corporate computing infrastructure including but not limited to PCs, servers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls and telecommunications equipment, and for monitoring network infrastructure to ensure compliance with the company’s network security policies. Identifies and participates in projects to improve and advance the company infrastructure.

Essential Duties

1. Design, architect, and maintain Wintel infrastructure environment including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, F&P, and SAN.
2. Manage SCCM environment including application, patch and OS deployment management, configuration manager, and virtual application streaming.
3. Manage VMware virtual server and desktop environments.  Application streaming availability, system availability, clusters integrity.
4. Design, implement, and manage Microsoft FIM infrastructure including process development and procedures management.
5. Provide common and advanced system administration functions for local and remote systems including user administration, automation, patch management, backup and restore, capacity/log monitoring, clustering, replication and migration.
6. Implement network architectures, including LANs/WANs, LAN Internetworking, and connections with the WAN environment.  
7. Maintain VoIP telephone systems and all components, including fax server and gateways.
8. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
9. Daily operational responsibilities will include:
10. Establish network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks.
11. Monitor, configure and address Cisco Security Agent events for continued functionality of systems including Viruses and Malware.
12. Maintain, update, and configure SQL Databases and servers.
13. Provide escalation support for network related issues.
14. Provide on-call and after-hours support as required.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Required

• 8+ years’ experience administering and implementing Microsoft Server environment DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, File and Print required.
• 3+ years hands on experience administering and managing virtual server environment required.
• 3+ years’ hands on experience administering network router and switches required.  Experience working in a disseminated network environment highly desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Microsoft/Cisco Engineer Level Certifications or equivalent experience gained from work experience as a senior technology professional required.
• Experience with SharePoint Designer highly desired.
• Experience implementing and managing SCCM, VMware, Hyper-V, and Microsoft ILM/FIM highly desired. Preference will be given to candidates possessing hands on experience implementing two or more of these technologies.
• Experience with Batch, Shell, VBScript, or PERL scripting highly desired.

• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines, while paying close attention to detail.
