We are seeking motivated individuals to apply for the position of Intermediate/ Senior Geochemist based in our Vancouver office. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of motivated, hardworking and interdisciplinary professionals committed to delivering high quality geoscience and environmental services with an emphasis on the mining industry both in Canada and internationally.
The Role:

will include developing geochemical characterization programs
-
technical field work, often in pristine remote locations
-
geochemical modelling
-
environmental effects assessments (geology and water quality)
-
contributions to large projects predominantly in the mining industry
Qualifications:
-
5 to 10 years of relevant geology/geochemistry experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education. Preference given to those with professional consulting services experience.

A minimum Master’s degree in Environmental Geosciences/Geochemistry (Ph.D. preferred).

Geochemical experience and knowledge in the areas of ML/ARD, water quality and geochemical modelling (e.g., PHREEQC and GoldSim), and standard geochemical test programs.

Experience in remediation/rehabilitation would be considered an asset.

Knowledge and experience in preparing environmental impact assessments.

Knowledge and experience in the mining industry, including operating mines, proposed mine developments (greenfields), and mine closure.

Knowledge and experience with applicable Canadian and international ML/ARD and water quality regulations and guidelines, ML/ARD and water quality monitoring and management.

Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Excellent time management and ability to operate within a project driven environment.

Eligibility or ability to register as a P.Geo. in Canada is an asset.
