Description

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will have at least 7+ years’ experience designing and managing hydrogeological programs for the mining industry and provide senior level support and technical guidance in an interdisciplinary environment comprised of Engineering, Geosciences, Biology, Social and Economic professionals.
  • High degree of comfort in developing site investigations, designing and executing hydrogeology-related drilling programs, hydraulic pump testing, well installation and groundwater sampling plans
  • Data interpretation and clear and concise technical report writing for baseline and ongoing monitoring programs
  • Practical experience with numerical groundwater-flow modeling (MODFLOW), hydrogeological modeling, borehole logging and database software
  • Managing team resources (people, budgets, time, training & mentoring) within high safety standards
  • Coordination and scheduling with multiple disciplines and projects
  • Ensuring project managers are properly supported on client project delivery

 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to at least a Bachelor’s Degree level in Geology/Geosciences/Engineering
  • 7+ years work experience related to hydrogeology
  • History focused on workplace health and safety
  • Strong depth in hydrogeological testing and sampling, data analysis and compilation
  • Proven managerial and team leadership skills of internal staff and contractor resources
  • Experienced in working on multidisciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders including: internal team members, clients and regulatory bodies
  • Registered with or eligibility to register with APEGBC (P.Eng / P.Geo)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
