TERRITORY SALES MANAGER

Central and Eastern Nova Scotia Region

Shur-Gain, a Nutreco Canada Inc. division,  is a leader in animal nutrition in Canada.  Shur-Gain development approach stands on research, technical programs and services.  Shur-Gain East serves producers via its mills and network of franchised dealers located everywhere in the province of Quebec, Eastern Ontario and the Atlantic region.

Shur-Gain Atlantic is seeking a career-minded and assertive individual to assume the position of Territory Sales Manager for the Central and Eastern Nova Scotia Region. In carrying out the duties of the position the incumbent is expected to exercise sound judgment in achieving the desired results.  The successful candidate will be results-oriented, thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment, and have the ability to develop positive working relationships with customers, industry associates, and employees.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase Shur-Gain’s Market share and feed volume
  • Promote Shur-Gain Technology and Products at producer’s level
  • Handle customer inquiries promptly, completely, and accurately
  • Analyze sales performances, compare with plans, and execute a strategic plan to achieve targets
  • Assist customers on-farm to measure results and benchmark performances
  • Become involved in the territory and network within the industry to stay abreast of the industry trends, primarily for the territory
  • Provide support for Retail Sales within the region

 

 PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

  • Post secondary education preferred;
  • Experience in the agriculture or feed industry would be a definite asset;
  • Ability to quickly prioritize individual responsibilities and effectively manage time;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products;
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, oral, and written);
  • Excellent selling skills;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • English is required; Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset.
