Tempel is NAFTA’s largest independent manufacturer of magnetic laminations for the motor and transformer industry. We are a growth-oriented, 70 year old company with manufacturing facilities in Chicago, Canada, Mexico, China and India.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The person in this position will be the central point of contact for all communications project-related information.  He/she will be responsible for both employee (estimated 30%) and marketing communication (estimated 70%).

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive Marketing Communications Plan that outlines goals, key corporate/product messages and communication vehicles to be leveraged
  • Develops content to support marketing communication objectives including product catalogs, website(including intranet) and blog content, collateral, newsletters (internal and external), presentations, e-mail, press releases, advertising, and editorial placements, white papers and case studies; creating audience specific messaging
  • Works with the Marketing team to support the execution of marketing programs and campaigns with targeted content for vehicles including direct mail, e-mail, webinars, events, PR, and social media to drive revenue with existing customers as well as prospects
  • Oversees the company's presence on social media channels, including all content and messaging; manage media monitoring, measurement and analysis; reporting to internal stakeholder
  • Provides oversight and editorial review of content provided by internal or external partners
  • Maintains company website and intranet; develop and update content as needed
  • Supports company efforts to improve brand awareness and lead generation via participation in conferences, tradeshows and industry events
  • Writes various executive and senior leadership communications including announcements, presentations, speaking notes, and other senior leadership communications
  • Works with internal and external team members to develop marketing messages for different products and customer segments
  • Advises other functions and/or departments on communication issues
  • Develops and sustain strong working relationships with business and marketing partners and other internal personnel across all functions of the organization
  • Supports HR with internal campaing/events (poster design, archive etc)

 

Requirement Profile

  • High Self-starter level, resourceful, creative, and capable of handling multiple projects at one time and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to articulate technical concepts in an understandable way to a non-technical audience
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Has customer service orientation

 

Skills/Abilities

  • Expert use of Microsoft Office
  • Fluency across multiple social media platforms, database, management photo editing and image editing software, solutions and strategies and page layout software programs 
  • Knowledge of HTML and understanding of website management tools/applications
  • Track record of success in designing and executing successful marketing campaigns and programs

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field required - MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in progressive marketing communication roles. Engineered products industry experience highly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in internal communications.
