Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for leading Account Management teams with strategic planning and direction, performance management, talent acquisition and training design, client relationship development, process optimization and overall account management.

Focus on enhancing the client experience and growing account relationships through ValueClick Platform Personalized Communication Plans designed to meet program budgets and client strategic objectives and deliver a unique personalized consumer experience.

Collaborates with other key departments to ensure programs are meeting long term client objectives (Client Development & Marketing), short term goals (Media), platform design (Platform) and technical considerations (Client Operations).  The VP AM manages a staff of 20+ including Managers, Team Leads, Account Managers, Specialists and interns, who own all day to day messaging work and longer term marketing plans and execution for our clients. Success is measured by meeting performance metrics per client, client adoption of our vision and platform features, and client service satisfaction as well as team growth and development.

Essential Job Functions/Activities

  1. Lead client service standards and strategy in Account Management - The Account Management department is the hub for delivering client marketing & messaging programs to meet revenue objectives.  The VP AM works in collaboration to set the department’s strategic direction, standards, methods, and procedures that support the client work and service optimally. Resulting in meeting budgets, ROI, client service satisfaction, and adoption of the ValueClick platform and vision. 30%
  2. Develop and manage talent - The VP AM identifies the skills and performance criteria necessary for success across a variety of roles and manages staff to meet and exceed these standards. Provides career-building opportunities for staff. 30%
  3. Great client work - Proactive in evaluating the performance of the client programs from an AM perspective. Uses personalization and marketing strategy & techniques to drive program improvement and evolve our offering.  30%
  4. Strategic Initiative Adoption - The VP AM plays a key role in helping to shape our focus on key initiatives and how significant new initiatives are rolled out and serviced with our clients and internal teams to full adoption. 5%
  5. Operational Ease - Partners with other functional team leaders to optimize the launch and other revenue driving processes increasing speed to market and ease of using our platform for the teams and our clients. Particularly highlights revenue, return, relationship, and satisfaction issues related to client programs. 5%

Other Marginal Job Functions/Activities

  • Participate in/create/run marketing programs (surveys, webinars)
  • Participate in internal company marketing and communications (events, recognition, town halls)
  • Approximately up to 20% travel required for the role

Minimum Job Requirements & Proficiencies

  • Minimum of 15 years of proven progressive leadership experience in a service related industry: Customer-facing leadership and account relationship strategy experience.
  • Proven capability to develop and execute strategic and long-range plans across a wide scope within an organization
  • Proven marketing know-how with online marketing experience
  • Capable of interfacing well at all levels within a large organization and client base
  • Project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, motivation, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a proficient grasp of existing and new ValueClick service offerings

Education: Minimum Bachelors Degree.  Masters in Marketing is preferred.

Years of Experience: preferred 15+
