Description

Amplify Learning is creating exciting new curriculum that reinvents teaching and learning in the core subjects of English Language Arts, math and science. These products combine interactive game-like experiences with analytics that meet the rigorous demands of the CCSS. By optimizing the power of adaptive technologies, our Learning products support individualized instruction for students and, at the same time, facilitate classroom management for teachers.

The Multimedia Producer/Designer for ELA Implementation Team will create action-oriented, job-embedded professional learning experiences that inspire K-12 educators and give them the tools and practice spaces they need to help their students be successful in college, career, and beyond. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design professional development and instructional resource materials aligned to the Common Core State Standards.  Produce instructional multi-media content (including, but not limited to video tutorials, tablet-embedded professional development modules, and web-hosted interactive practice sites), from initial conception through scoping, storyboard drafting, developing, editing, and revising.  Incorporate feedback from the field to continually improve service offerings.   

Responsibilities of Multimedia Producer/Designer for ELA Implementation Team:

  • Lead the development of professional learning content and related materials for cutting edge Digital Curriculum; includes partnering with the relevant product or client teams, writing workshop or online content, collaborating with subject matter experts, and creating materials for trainers, participants, and end users.
  • Design and produce content for live, online, and blended training sessions with an eye towards instructional design, adult learning theories, and storyboarding and scripting video content.
  • Develop exemplar instructional content, focused heavily on Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts.
  • Conduct mock trainings, internal training sessions, and consultant trainer prep calls in a train-the-trainer format.
  • Lead customer trainings.
  • Incorporate client and end-user feedback to continuously improve professional learning experiences.
  • Demonstrate complete ownership of PD projects and outcomes, including attending the initial training when workshops are newly developed.
  • Support other team members' projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications of Multimedia Producer/Designer for ELA Implementation Team:

  • Master’s degree in education, instructional/curriculum design, or closely related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience designing and implementing electronic professional development
  • 3+ years of experience in K-12 ELA classrooms
  • Demonstrated passion for education reform and an understanding of adult learning principles
  • Proven written and verbal English skills
  • Strong familiarity with Final Cut Pro, digital video, video editing principles
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite and the ability to learn and apply new technology and programs

Preferred Qualifications of Multimedia Producer/Designer for ELA Implementation Team:

  • Understanding of the instructional implications of implementing the Common Core State Standards
  • Experience with product development research and design
  • Experience designing and implementing electronic professional development for teaching teachers how to use tablet-based hardware and software
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute in a collaborative environment
