You might join us working as a Program Planner or Scheduler, assisting our clients with the establishment and delivery of a project plan or schedule. Or you might be a Senior Engineer or Program Manager, whose hands-on technical expertise allows a client to stay on track for a successful program milestone. Perhaps you’re a Cost & Earned Value Management Consultant whose attention to detail allows a client to maximize their program and project revenue. SM&A’s Program Services employees can see projects through from the earliest program plan all the way through program delivery to ensure a client can perform at their highest levels.

Program Planner/Scheduler:

Job Description:

  • Develop and integrate tiered master plans & schedules on DOD programs
  • Develop IMS Architecture for small programs or IPTs
  • Lead multi-schedule implementations and develops cross project linking solutions
  • Direct CAMs and PM
  • Lead program/Integrated Product Teams (IPT)
  • Manage/supervise schedulers
  • Manage small to medium implementations
  • Interact heavily with external customer and subs
  • Set-up EVMS files
  • Conduct expert level internal training sessions

Requirements:

  • We are a national consulting firm & our client work can be located anywhere in the U.S, therefore you must have the flexibility to travel 75%+ of your time to client sites in the U.S.
  • BS in Business field or similar. 
  • Minimum of  {10-15+} years of experience as a Program Planner on large complex DOD programs. 
  • Extensive experience working on government DoD programs developing Integrated Master Plans & Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) is required.
  • Advanced experience with multiple scheduling tools and add-ons
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Project
  • Proven ability to work with a server based Enterprise Project Control tool (like MS Proj Server or equivalent)
  • Solid experience resource loading, identify and resolve over allocations and res. reporting in Microsoft Project
  • Solid experience with cost & schedule integration
  • Solid experience with EVMS – Successfully developed EV solutions in IMP’s/IMS’s
  • Clearance preferred:  Secret or Top Secret, with SCI or have the ability to obtain at a minimum a Secret level clearance
