Nova Networks Inc. is one of Canada's largest providers of IT products, technology and professional services.  Due to rapid growth, we are currently seeking a PHP/LAMP Web Developer for a full-time position in Ottawa, Ontario.

The Web Developer (PHP/LAMP) will be responsible for the development of web solutions for our clients. Working both independently and within teams, the candidate will participate in all aspects the software development process.

Responsibilities:

• Writing awesome code;

• Working within a small team of developers and on independent projects;

• Being involved with all aspects of the software development lifecycle: Design, Architecture, Implementation, Delivery, etc.

Requirements:

• It doesn’t matter if you have two years or ten years of development experience. You MUST be able to demonstrate that you have proven experience developing PHP applications.

• You know LAMP technologies inside and out.

• You know your way around a mySQL server database.

• You are skilled in the follow technologies:

  • Linux/Apache, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, PERL

  • CMS platforms including Joomla and Drupal.

  • HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, XML, Ajax

  • WSDL, SOAP and/or REST

• You love a fast-paced environment.

• You thrive on problem-solving and designing rock-solid solutions.

• You have excellent English written and oral.

• You have a great attitude and love what you do.
