The District Management Council is seeking skilled and passionate experienced Rails developers to help us shape the future of public education.

 

Public schools across America are using our software and services to increase the effectiveness of Special Education and Teacher Development programs and to improve overall management and planning. If you care about improving education and want to develop well-crafted Rails applications, we want to talk to you. Although our software division is relatively new, we are part of a larger, established company; this allows us to enjoy the agility of a startup combined with the stability of a nine-year-old company.

About the position

We apply management, leadership and technological solutions to solve the toughest challenges in public education. As a Ruby on Rails Developer with DMC, you will be working on web-based applications that help school districts improve their resource allocation and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for interesting data modeling and algorithmic scheduling challenges that need creative thinking and coding. We believe firmly in mutual respect, professional growth, and learning as a team.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Our ideal candidate has experience with more than one Rails application, a familiarity with object-oriented design principles, and a dedication to craftsmanship. Specifically, we are looking for a web developer who has experience in:
