Job Title: Clinical Nurse Director, HEM/HCT Malignancy Program Position Summary and Key Responsibilities: This position plans, directs, coordinates and leads the adult Hematology and Hematopoietic Transplant continuum of care. Provides strategic leadership and vision to the Hematology / HCT Program which leads the field as one of the world’s largest and most successful transplant centers. Responsible for achieving optimal service, quality, and clinical excellence that aligns with the mission, vision and values of the organization. Directs operational aspects ensuring financial compliance and meeting all legal and regulatory standards, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. In collaboration with the Chair of the Department of Hematology and HCT, execute strategic vision for all phases of the clinical transplant program at City of Hope. Collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer to represent a national presence with the Oncology Nursing Society, National Marrow Donor Program and other national associations and groups. Manages the organizational infrastructure to support 550 transplant patients per year and 94 inpatient beds. Provides leadership for nursing practice across the inpatient and out-patient continuum among the various professional nursing roles required for this service. Directs and leads the supervision of human and material resources as well as strategic planning, budgeting, consistently evaluating for patient safety and regulatory compliance (CAP, DHS. FACT, TJC, and others) for all areas of responsibility. The Director hires, coaches, and develops staff and management personnel to ensure the delivery of quality care consistent with the scope of the discipline and adherence to professional practice standards.
