The Market Systems Group is responsible for all development, testing and performance around the leading technology and systems which power NASDAQ OMX markets worldwide.

Typical Job Functions:

The candidate will join the Market Information Systems team to perform quality control testing for key online transaction processing market systems:

  • Creates, reviews, and updates test plans/scripts, test cases, model-based tests, and scenarios
  • Executes a range of quality control tests according to test scripts and test plans
  • Executes tests for individual components as well as system-level end-to-end tests
  • Executes both manual and automated test scenarios
  • Understands the high-level process flows and underlying data
  • Work closely with the development, product, and operations teams to ensure quality and timely services are delivered to clients
  • Provides application support to internal and external parties


The candidate will be results-oriented, self-motivated and must quickly adapt to changing conditions.  The candidate will be expected to bring new perspectives while adopting best practices from experienced team members.  The candidate will be expected to provide timely and comprehensive application support for the continuous operation of critical systems.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; the candidate must also possess strong analytical and organization skills.

Education:  Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:  0-2 years

The candidate must be proficient in the following technologies:

  • Microsoft Windows Server (2008 R2 and / or 2012)
  • SQL
  • Web-based technologies
  • XML

Linux proficiency is a plus.
