Our client provides IT services targeted towards mid to large enterprise organizations.  Our client works with customers to create and roll-out technologies that will enhance their core business.
 
The Opportunity:
 
You will… report directly to the Director, Sales.  This role is responsible for generating new sales opportunities within the Commercial and Industrial sectors. You will create solid business relationships through skillful call handling, clear communication, probing, negotiating and closing. The main focus is on account growth and development within the assigned sector. You will be expected to create a specified customer base and forecast incremental business utilizing outbound calls to secure growth objectives and increase customer breadth.
 
You will… be measured on your capability to meet monthly productivity targets and must achieve balanced performance of product and service sales as outlined within target sheets.
 
 
What you will bring:
  • Gather lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business partners, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, web sites, and other sources.
  • Produce a commercially workable business case, leads the proposal, and drives the deal to closing.
  • Vigorously cold call possible clientele, determining and qualifying leads as well as selling our client's complete line of products, services and solutions.
  • Responsible for target account plan, opportunity management process, and pipeline utilization
  • Work closely with Sales Director and our client's other resources to establish customers technical requirements and assist them with determining effective solutions to meet customers’ business needs
  • Oversees entire sales process including: quoting, negotiating, advising credit terms, preparing sales contracts, and advising estimated delivery to customer.
  • Cross sell and up sell to build revenue and margin on an ongoing basis.
  • Will work closely with the client's own support organization to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals as outline in target sheets.
  • Accountable for owing accounts receivable for items over 60 days.
  • Engage in other call based promotion campaigns as required.
  • Keeps up-to-date on relevant strategic technologies and trends; continually develops industry knowledge by participating in key industry events/conferences, reading trade journals, participating in vendor training programs and taking advantage of external education as appropriate.
  • Comprehends and demonstrates the willingness to promote the client's vision and values
 
Qualifications:
  • Post secondary education or equivalent with 5 years of sales experience with solution-based products and services 
  • Detailed grasp across all multi-vendor product lines, as well as technical and professional services offerings.
  • Able to deliver on aggressive sales quota and increase market share by obtaining new clientele.
  • Considerable knowledge of IT industry, market place trends and key indicators.
  • Highly polished selling, communication, customer relations, negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office products.
