Core Responsibilities:
Responds to customer inquiries and works directly with customers on the telephone, by email and fax, contracting and scheduling trips.
Duties/Responsibilities:

On a daily basis, responds to email, on-line, telephone, and fax inquiries received from individuals, groups, or schools interested in booking buses and scheduling field trips, outings, events.

Returns calls to interested parties; determines transportation needs; provides pricing and scheduling information.

Determines appropriate bus, or vehicle of transport that would meet the needs of the customer.

Works with the customer to book the trip, locking in the trip schedule and price as indicated on RBS system.

Records billing information, including credit card information in order to ensure that deposit is received to hold trip and that payment in full arrangements have been made.

Routinely consults with supervisor in order to make special arrangements regarding fees different than rate chart, including terms of payment, including making arrangements to secure buses that may not be shown as available.

Enters customer information into the RBS system; closes the customer sale, allowing the customer to be billed.

Sends invoice to customer, including confirmation of trip booking, with a request to confirm trip by returning signed confirmation of order.

As required, calls customer to follow-up on overdue invoice payments.

May be requested to make presentations to employees, or customers at customer sites.
Job Requirements:

Must have high school diploma/GED
-
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience

Must have a valid MI driver’s license

Must be able to speak fluent English
Skill Requirements:

Keyboarding: 30-50 wpm

Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word Excel Outlook Email

Knows operation of: Facsimile Telephone system Speaks clearly; cooperates with others; remains flexible and responsive; learns quickly.
