Core Responsibilities:
Supervises and coordinates activities and work assignments of Trinity Transportation School Bus/Motor Coach Drivers and Bus Attendants according to designated schedule; conveys importance of student passengers safely and courteously.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Monitors and records movement and location of buses using GPS tracking, radio and telephone communication

Receives telephone or radio reports of accidents, delays, fires, equipment breakdowns, and other operating or maintenance difficulties from bus drivers, and takes necessary steps to resolve problems efficiently

Responsible for the development, administration and maintenance of School Bus/Motor Coach Driver and Bus Attendant work schedules

Assigns and directs the work of School Bus/Motor Coach Drivers and Bus attendants

Communicates with the customer for last minute added routes and trips

Ensures all school bus routes and various trip assignments are covered every day they are scheduled

Communicates and verifies with Reservations Department that trip information is accurate

Administers and enforces Trinity Transportation time and attendance policy
-
Reports difficulties and dispatches information, recommendations and instructions to other Trinity transportation departments to maintain, or restore service and schedules

Dispatches extra vehicles and emergency crews to scene of accident or breakdown, advising them of location of trouble

Communicates with Mechanics to arrange transportation of vehicles to and from off-site repair facilities

Maintains log of scheduled runs, numbers of vehicles, and names of drivers.

Records all calls and emergency response situations

Makes report of all accidents

Maintains and updates vehicle breakdown board

Meets with employees and Human Resource Director to resolve customer complaints and employee complaints

Provides regular feedback to Terminal Manager regarding Bus Driver and Bus Attendant performance

Investigates customer/client complaints regarding Trinity services and customer / parent complaints regarding Trinity employees

Has authority to recommend suspension to Terminal Manager

Has authority to recommend disciplinary action to Terminal Manager

Meets with Bus Drivers, Bus Attendants in order to communicate infractions of operating regulations and/or customer/parent complaints
-
Conducts disciplinary sessions if requested by Terminal Manager

Writes and signs disciplinary notices

With approval, has authority to discharge employees

Makes a formal record of all suspensions and disciplinary actions
Job Requirements:

Keyboarding: 30-50 wpm
-
Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word Excel Outlook Email

Knows operation of: Facsimile Telephone system Must have high school diploma
-
Must have a valid MI driver’s license
-
Speaks clearly; cooperates with others; remains flexible and responsive; learns quickly. Is able to read and understand geographical maps.
