Ad Sales Rep: West CoastTerritory
Imagination seeks a highly motivated, web-savvy independent sales professional with 10+ years of sales experience to join our advertising sales team. The sales rep will maximize profitability through a passionate understanding of the small business landscape, outstanding selling skills, and efficient use of marketing and support services. Our ideal candidate has a strong background and proven record in digital ad sales.
· Lead all aspects of print and digital sales efforts, from initial qualification of a prospect through the execution of insertion orders and follow-up.
· Maintain and continuously develop a strong understanding of the digital ad sales market and what competitors are offering.
· Deliver presentations that best highlight the publication’s media opportunities and custom solutions.
· Set appointments per established goals at all levels within target accounts and agencies, and develop long-term account relationships with agencies and clients on key target accounts.
· Work independently or with other advertising sales reps and Director, to sell jointly where appropriate for integrated sales opportunities.
· Demonstrate a passion for small business that translates to key sales opportunities for advertising prospects.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· 10+ years of successful print sales and VERY strong digital sales experience, preferably with a business publication
· Possess extensive media agency and client contacts with prominent brands (Fortune 500 companies)
· Proven ability to prospect and develop new business as well as manage and grow existing business
· Effectively communicate with all decision-makers through strong written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding presentation and listening skills
· Ability to exceed sales goals through a focused and strategic approach
· Territory: West Coast region
