Description

Title of Position Mold Repair Technician Established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Mold Repair Technician for the Injection Molding Department (located in Piqua, Ohio). The ideal candidate will possess prior experience with Injection Molds and have excellent mechanical aptitude. Candidate must be well organized as this hands on job requires extensive record keeping. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. Working knowledge of basic machine shop equipment (i.e. mill, grinder, lathe, cutoff saw, drill press) also a plus. Department Injection Molding Reports to Injection Molding Manager Examples of Typical Activities: • Establish and routinely perform a procedure to test and document limited PM’s after production runs for Injection Molds. • Minor mold repair • Vent molds as required Key areas of Responsibility: • Check the cleanliness of molds after production • Check molds for water leaks and blockages • Test and document water flow through individual water circuits • Check heaters in the molds for proper operation – record resistance of heaters • Check thermocouples in molds for proper operation • Maintain clear identifying marks on outside of mold – to include the water line identifiers and the mold number with description • Maintain proper operation of Rapid Water and Rapid Ejector systems • Maintain histories of Injection Molds • Maintain Date Codes • Other duties as assigned by Molding Manager Consults with: • Must be able to interface in a professional manner with all departments (Tooling, Maintenance, Engineering, Assembly, Receiving, Shipping and Quality). Term of Employment Full time Hours – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Overtime as required Qualifications: • Mechanical aptitude • Must be able to obtain a fork lift operating license • Must be able to lift 40 lbs • Must be able to perform required maintenance on injection molds • Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license • Must be able to learn to safely operate overhead crane
