Position Overview
Custom Decorators, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Interior Designer/In-Home Sales Decorator.

Receive qualified leads from retail partners

Schedule your own appointments

Utilize your design and sales expertise during the consultation

Close the sale and submit your order!

Custom Decorators provides direct support for order placement, product delivery and installation
-
Meet monthly minimum expectations (e.g. closing rate, sales/leads, booking rate)
Design Abilities
-
Measuring skills required for Hunter Douglas window coverings
-
A detailed product knowledge of Hunter Douglas window coverings preferred
-
Experience with drapery products preferred
-
Ability to visualize a finished project and convey the outcome to the client
-
Ability to provide exceptional design services within a client's defined budget
Sales Technique and Experience
-
Must possess strong in-home sales experience
-
Must be self motivated, goal oriented and possess a strong desire to excel in a challenging and competitive environment

Must understand the concepts to sell our premium product lines
-
Ability to represent our unique retail channel partners and their expectations. Channels include: Leaders in wholesale, home improvement and high-end retailing

Ability to build a strong client base to generate additional leads
-
Must be able to build relationships with our retail partners

Must possess basic computing skills including Word, Email usage and Internet searching techniques

Must have and use a computer efficiently
Client Service and Relationship Management

Willing to overcome obstacles and provide outstanding client services

Exemplifies professional standards in appearance, communication and delivery from the first impression

Collaborates with internal departments and installers to manage client relationships and results
-
Leaves positive and lasting impressions with continued follow up after the installation is complete

Possesses strong organizational skills to contact leads, schedule appointments and complete client orders
Compensation and Working Conditions

Commissions, guarantee offered for the first 3 months

Full-Time Employee status including Benefits and 401K option

Hunter Douglas samples will be provided for in-home consultations

Travel between client homes, partner retailer locations and home office
-
We provide on-boarding, webinars and support from our vendors – Hunter Douglas and various drapery vendors

Assigned a Sales Manager who will partner with you to achieve goals set by the company

Annual Sales/Design Convention to enhance your skills as a designer

Seminars, sales skills and the opportunity to network with designers and vendors
