Description

NBBJ is seeking a senior-level Medical Equipment Planner to join our Healthcare Practice which is a fully integrated design studio where Architects work with Interior Designers, Medical Planners and Workplace Specialists from Concept Design through Construction.  The skill and ability to work with and integrate into diverse teams of designers will serve the candidate well in our highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research emerging technology trends and develop relationships with vendors to remain current with latest technologies

  • Manage and participate on multiple healthcare projects simultaneously

  • Lead client with recommendations and selection of medical equipment and related systems

  • Effectively communicate equipment planning information to the project team to allow for successful project completion

  • Develop and coordinate all related deliverables to include but not limited to medical equipment reports and drawings, specification documents, vendor site specific drawings and project schedules

  • Evaluate existing medical equipment and related systems with respect to age, condition and technological status to determine the potential for reuse

 

Skills and Qualifications (required unless otherwise noted):

  • 4 year degree required

  • 15+ years of medical equipment planning experience, with a broad understanding of the healthcare environment and equipment technology required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to determine and set project priorities

  • Experience with medical equipment plan drawings and working with architects, consultants and contractors to coordinate equipment MEP requirements

  • Experience with equipment planning proposals desired

  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to service multiple projects at the same time

  • Exceptional written, verbal and graphic communication skills required

  • User of AutoDesk Revit Architecture preferred

  • Working knowledge of Adobe CS4, Sketchup, 3DStudio Max and/or Form Z desired

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to travel required
