SENIOR JOINT VENTURE REPRESENTATIVE

Reporting to the Joint Venture Supervisor within Operations, the Senior Joint Venture Representative will participate in joint venture-related projects for Vermilion’s operated and non-operated Canadian properties.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Review assigned area operated facility AFE’s
•Create, review, and negotiate Unit , CO&O, and other joint venture related agreements
•Mentor Joint Venture group as it relates to joint venture properties and joint venture agreements
•Act as the Operating Committee chairman for assigned areas that are Operated jointly held properties and act as alternate Chairman for  all non-operated properties
•Coordinate  the full cycle process of Operated Mail Ballots with AFE Administrator
•Manage the full cycle process of third party tie-ins
•Manage all core assets within assigned area. Conduct area and fees reviews on a regular basis to ensure that operated properties revenues are optimized and operating expenses are correct
•Resolve internal and external stakeholder disputes
•Assist in the review  of Joint Interest Billings (JIB’s) or any issues relating to the accounting process
•Provide back up to Joint Venture Supervisor as required
•Scope out, identify, and provide recommendations relating to joint venture business opportunities
•Create annual operating budgets for operated properties within assigned area
•Liaise with internal stakeholders on joint venture projects as it relates to the assigned area

Qualifications and Experience:

•Minimum of 5 years of Joint Venture Representative experience within the petroleum industry
•Sound working  knowledge of Joint Venture nd industry agreements 
•Experience in negotiating Joint Venture agreements
•Results focused team player with a positive attitude and initiative to drive change
•Effective oral and written communication skills
