Job Purpose: 

We are looking for exceptional people to join us in bringing the mobile user experience to next level. As a software developer, you will be working on Accessibility APIs, UI frameworks, and Assistive Technology applications. This role provides an opportunity to work across R&D departments and make a difference in the lives of our mobile users.
 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Driving satisfaction with the existing tools and platform technologies and driving adoption of next generation mobile, Tablet OS, and web technologies.
• Running deep technical engagements with top application developer partners to drive successful adoption of our Client mobile platform.
• Engaging the broad developer and architect communities in partnership with community leaders.
• Engaging with the broad developer and architect audience through online channels.
•  Support the development relations team by advocating for the development related needs of our developer communities.

Requirements:

Required skills:

• Minimum 5 years of C/C++ development experience;
• 3+ years of commercial software development experience, preferably for mobile handheld products
• Proven technical understanding of APIs and User Interface Frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Software engineering best practices
• Experience developing Frameworks for applications
• Experience with version control and software engineering tools (SVN, Git, MKS Integrity)
• Experience with XML and Eclipse IDE
• Experience in User-Centered Design, Human Factors, Usability or User Experience Design
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments;
• Ability to work well and with multi-functional global Product Development teams and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired:

• Experience with Cascades
• Experience with Qt User Interface Framework

Formal education: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
