The Media Innovation Group is looking for an experienced engagement manager to help develop strategic relationships within world-class media agencies. As an Engagement Manager you will be responsible for cultivating our partnership with GroupM, the world’s largest buyer of media. You will be a thought leader and strategic thinker, helping to evangelize the MIG’s growing product suite amongst your peers within GroupM agencies. You will meet with senior media executives to discuss our products, solicit feedback, and communicate opportunities to the internal product management team. You will also be instrumental in the communication of partnerships and other ecosystem engagements. You will be responsible for developing deep relationships with advertisers and agencies to ensure optimal adoption of new product features.


You will collaborate with a group of quick witted (and sometimes hilarious) coworkers and clients whom are all passionate about digital media. You will engage with our clients in professional and social settings, build relationships and define and implement products which make us indispensable to WPP agencies. This is a high profile position with a wealth of opportunities for growth professionally and personally. We believe in the power of digital media to transform the way businesses and consumers can interact. What you will do:


  • Engage our partner, GroupM, through constant communication, meetings, and social engagements.


  • Be the #1 product evangelist to advertisers and agencies.


  • Collaborate with product teams and senior management on defining product direction


  • Drive the commercialization of new products by developing marketing plans and driving adoption with agencies


  • Communicate project and product status and outstanding issues to key company and customer stakeholders


  • Identify functional and process improvement areas


  • Interact directly with clients in eliciting requirements


  • Wear jeans to work occasionally, sport khaki pants and a logo'd golf shirts when meeting with the engineering team and don a suit (no tie) when necessary for key client meetings


  • Some coach class travel to non-exotic locales may be required



What you will need:


  • A passion for digital marketing


  • Demonstrated success in managing large client engagements


  • Experience in digital media


  • Experience in digital technology


  • Sound business judgment and commercial acumen


  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technology and business concepts quickly to a variety of audiences


  • Advanced presentation and communication skills


  • Highly organized with strong quantitative analytical skills



A Major Plus:


  • Sense of humor


  • Technology and/or Software product management experience


  • Agency/large advertiser experience


  • An MBA from a perceived ‘good B-school’ (as opposed to an ‘actual’ good B-school)
