***This position is contingent on contract to task order award.
The Contractor position will serve as a Security Technician on one or more government contracts. Under limited supervision the Security Technician must be able to install and troubleshoot complex technical and physical security systems at government facilities overseas and domestic.
The Security Technician will act as a member of an installation team and will occasionally supervise lower level electricians and security technicians in the performance of his/her duties.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to occasionally stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; operate office equipment, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Medical conditions or physical impediments may disqualify candidates from overseas work where comprehensive medical care may be limited or unavailable, or where the condition or impediment would put the individual at unacceptable risk. Duties may be performed in an active combat zone where the employee would be required to seek shelter. There may be stress, psychological and physical hardships, and the possibility of temporarily living in field conditions associated with this position.
Overseas travel will be required up to 75% of the calendar year with the potential for high-threat areas. Domestic travel may be required for training and coordination.
Full-time, 40-hour work week when located in the United States. Typical work week overseas will be 60 hours. Performance of duties will be in industrial shops, warehouses, and light construction sites, as well as in a typical office setting.
The Stateside work location will be in DoS annexes in Arlington or Springfield, VA. Overseas work locations will be in diplomatic facilities worldwide to include areas where personnel may receive hazardous or hardship pay in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulations, Chapter 650-Danger Pay Allowance and Chapter 530-Hardship Differential Applicable to Post.
