Programmer Analyst

Summary:  Primarily responsible for conceiving and developing programming systems for variable information print and mail applications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


  • Analyze customer data and requirements
  • Program to recognize data elements from text files, index, and organize to integrate with dynamic print and mail document composition applications
  • Develop and integrate document composition applications
  • Cooperate within existing system models and procedures
  • Manage forms, images, fonts and other resources
  • Interact effectively and positively with clients, programmers, sales, project managers, operations and other departments to assure success of client applications
  • Support off-the-shelf and custom internal systems
  • Other duties as needed


Competencies For Success include the following:


  • General knowledge of computer Windows operating systems and software
  • Languages: Visual Basic, VB.NET or C#
  • Software: HP Exstream Dialogue is a plus, SQL, Adobe Photoshop/Acrobat,
  • Formats: ASCII, EBCIDIC,AFP , PostScript, PCL, XML/HTML and PDF
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Communication skills, typing
  • Willingness to perform basic to Complex technical tasks


Qualifications, Skills, & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred)
  • Articulate in computer software languages
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Computer Programming
