Lifeguard Pool Operators-Pasadena

Description

Big Vanilla – Pasadena is seeking reliable lifeguards with pool operators license.  Must be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts weekly.  Must have current AA County Lifeguard License, current CPR and AED accepted by AA County Department of Health, and current Pool Operators license.  Applicant must be committed to providing a safe and pleasant member experience.  If you enjoy working at a beautiful year-round aquatics facility in a team environment you will love working for Big Vanilla.  PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE required certifications, but check our Arnold and Pasadena websites for upcoming certification courses. 

As a Lifeguard and Pool Operator, you will share in the responsibility for the overall aquatic operations, especially during the shift for which you are scheduled.   Big Vanilla expects employees to conduct themselves in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner at all times.  It is crucial that you make the facility an enjoyable experience for all patrons and guests.  Part of your performance evaluation is based on your ability to fulfill Big Vanilla’s mission of fun, family, and fitness. The position is hourly and includes complimentary gym membership and retail discounts.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be motivated and able to implement oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate respectfully and effectively with superiors, co-workers,
• members, parents, and children
• Provide, support and enhance positive member experience through professional, friendly and pleasant communication
• Must be mentally prepared to handle emergency situations and rescues
• Consistently display a positive, professional, outgoing, and friendly attitude
• Promote a positive and respectful work environment
• Consistently promote Big Vanilla and Department mission and vision
• May be required to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Maryland State driving vision requirements must be maintained
• Must show capable use of all pool equipment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Current Anne Arundel County Lifeguard/Pool Operators License
• Current Lifeguard Certification
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED
• Current Standard First Aid Certification
• Current Pool Operators Certification
• Big Vanilla Pasadena System and Equipment Use Training
