Qualifications:    High School graduate or equivalent Current Texas Nurse Aide certification. Minimum of one year of experience as a nurse aide. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.   Additional languages preferred. Computer knowledge necessary, including proficiency in Word, and Windows. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable automobile. Current auto insurance is required.

Job Description: Performs duties essentially of personal care and palliative care to terminally-ill persons in their homes under the direction of an RN/Case Manager. Helps and instructs the well family members to carry their share of the responsibilities and encourages the terminally ill member to participate in the life of the family, in so far as able.

Supervised by: Hospice Administrator and Registered Nurse/Case Manager
