Chef de Partie in Pastry required – qualia, Hamilton Island

qualia, Hamilton Island's luxury resort (Relais & Chateaux) is looking for a Chef de Partie in Pastry to prepare and serve a la carte desserts.  This position is for a late May/June start.


About the Role

  • Prepare and serve fine Modern Australian desserts
  • Achieve consistent high standards of food quality and production
  • Report to the Senior CDP in Pastry
  • Work on a 7 day rotating roster
  • Flexible start date

About You

  • Minimum 3 years of post-post apprenticeship experience in pastry
  • Fine dining a la carte restaurant or hotel background essential
  • Michelin star or hat experience preferred
  • Previous experience in plating desserts and functions
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and flexible attitude
  • Not afraid of long hours and hard work required to achieve standards of excellence
