Healthcare - Workforce Management Consultant

Location: Remote Position - No Relocation Required

Description

Job Location:    Remote – Work from Home/Up to 75% Client Travel
Reports To:     Director Healthcare Consulting


Position Summary:
The Workforce Management Consultant position is primarily a supporting role working with teams of healthcare consultants to deliver software solutions clients.  The primary objective for this position will be to support the team as we determine clients’ needs, define the optimal solution set, and then deliver the solution on time, on budget and with exceptional quality.

Responsibilities:
General team operations
•    Assist Project Manager, Project Director and/or Executive In Charge as needed in meeting goals and objectives in designated area(s) of project responsibility
•    Schedule, organize, document and/or conduct meetings and events with clients and team members in designated areas of project responsibility
•    Develop and maintain correspondence, agendas and/or presentations for meetings in designated areas of project responsibility
•    Communicate meeting and appointment details or changes in a timely and accurate manner to all individuals involved (may utilize an assistant, when possible, to assist in these communications)
•    Keep Project Management and team members informed, when relevant, of developments and/or issues in designated areas of project responsibility
•    Work and communicate effectively with team members, vendors and client representatives to meet defined project objectives
•    Achieve the level of quality in all tasks required to serve the customer and further the firm’s reputation
•    Attend to numerous details without being continuously overwhelmed or distracted
•    Execute the tactical plans as directed by project managers
•    Prioritize tasks even when facing conflicting demands and constrained resources
•    Represent the company in a professional manner
•    Attend to administrative and time keeping duties required for billing
Analysis and design
•    Interview clients and record requirements
•    Collect and review documentation
•    Document current state process flows and contribute to the development of future state process flows
Implementation
•    Assist the project by providing on-site project support as needed
•    Engineer and execute test cases, track results, document issues, and follow-up until resolution
•    Participate in go live support efforts; troubleshooting and support for end-users once solutions activate
•    Monitor in-scope and out-of-scope tasks/deliverables and proactively communicate with the assigned project manager to provide estimations, identify  notable items that may impact the project’s cost, schedule, quality, etc
•    Participate in training program development and delivery

Education, Expertise and Skills:
Required
•    Undergraduate degree
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
•    Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and composition
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Basic understanding of business and industry processes
•    Experience working in projects in a collaborative team setting
•    Ability to navigate self and others to specific destinations using automobiles (must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license)
•    Ability to travel as directed via commercial airlines
•    Ability to work with people at all levels within an organization
•    Excellent organization skills
Preferred
•    Healthcare knowledge is preferred
•    Implementation experience is preferred
•    RN’s are preferred
•    Experience with workforce management technology preferred
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Vision
