Location: Newcastle, London or Manchester

We are now searching for dynamic and success hungry Business Development Managers to help accelerate the growth of Travelzoo Local Deals in UK. Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop outstanding sales relationships by prospecting high-quality catering, entertainment & lifestyle local businesses, such as restaurants, spas and theatres.

  • Negotiate and close outstanding deals for Travelzoo’s local audience

  • Team with Producers on outbound lead generation activities by providing knowledge and insights into prospective clients’ businesses

  • Track ongoing sales activities and forecast business opportunities

  • Establish and maintain long-term client business relationships, including site visits

  • Maintain the highest level of client & subscriber satisfaction

Candidate profile

  • Degree educated (or equivalent experience)

  • First professional experience in direct selling

  • Experience in dealing with restaurants and other small businesses would be an advantage

  • You have a “good nose” for what is an outstanding deal

  • Passion for cold-calling and hunting, and developing and closing sales

  • Ability to make 50 cold calls per day and manage more than 1000 prospects

  • Excellent networker with strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to achieve results while working independently

  • Hands-on approach, team player and goal-oriented coupled with an ability to adjust to changing circumstances round up your profile
