Content Marketing Manager
Location: London

Travelzoo is looking for a content marketing manager to devise, lead and execute a content strategy that aligns itself with the brand's objective of being the world's most trusted publisher of travel, entertainment and local deals. The content marketing manager will own and implement an annual digital communications plan, designed to raise awareness of the team the Travel Deal Experts at Travelzoo and ultimately to drive traffic to our web properties.


•Work with the Head of Marketing to develop a content marketing strategy using various digital mediums -- articles, blogs, video, graphics -- that engage users with the brand
•Strong understanding of SEO best practice and inbound marketing tactics
•Capitalise on opportunities from the PR team and amplify these through owned and earned digital channels
•Be the lead creator of engaging content -- through storytelling that is differentiated and compelling and sets an example/guide for the production team to follow
•Partner with internal and external agencies, publishers and producers, and involve the Travelzoo community in a collaborative content-production process to scale content capabilities and output
•Be the lead writer, planner and advocate for the Travelzoo blog -- making it a destination for subscribers in its own right
•Develop and maintain a consistent tone of voice across all marketing communications
•Help to create email templates and communications to increase engagement with the subscriber base
•Video content -- plan, budget, film, publish and share original content that resonates with Travelzoo's audience
•Syndication and promotion of content with third parties through relationship building
•Conduct keyword research to find profitable keyword clusters
•Work alongside the website editor to ensure optimal visibility to search engines
•Carry out market research and use consumer insights to guide the content plan
•Develop a measurement framework and work towards KPIs that link to brand and business objectives. Use metrics to optimise and drive continuous improvement in Travelzoo's content and social efforts

Candidate profile

•3+ years of relevant work experience at interactive, advertising, public relations or marketing agencies, and/or experience creating digital marketing campaigns for a brand -- preferably in travel, design, technology or lifestyle brands
•Expertise in content planning, development and publishing, and measurement
•The ability to clearly communicate a strategic vision and have ideas that will create differentiation and cut-through
•A passion for writing and exploring channels outside the written form to clearly communicate the brand messages
•A passion for all things related to SEO -- with ideas and solutions around the latest developments and updates in the search arena
•Experience growing and nurturing a social media community and adopting techniques that can expand the reach organically -- in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, tools and monitoring essential
•Fluency with social media metrics, analytics and benchmarks, including tracking, and understanding attribution from social media
•Excellent copywriting skills and a keen visual sense. An eye for detail and a quick wit
•Experience with email copy optimisation as well as CRM, segmentation and email strategies would be useful
•The candidate should illustrate how their initiatives have been carried out from inception to delivery and what metrics were used to measure success. Please provide content links of these projects along with the CV when applying
