Electrical Engineering within the Power Electronics team requires and offers a very high level of collaboration with mechanical engineers and firmware engineers.  Our systems typically deliver very high currents to enable our vehicles to go faster and charge faster than any other car ever developed in the mass market.  Power electronics is the core of every EV.  Our systems control the flow of electrons from the wall to the battery and eventually to the motor. 



  • Experience with DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices.
  • Knowledge of serial communication buses - CAN, SPI, I2C.
  • Experience with power semiconductors - IGBTs, Mosfets, gate drive circuits a plus.
  • Experience with medium to high volume DFT and DFM.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout placement strategy, plane definition, and EMC optimization.
  • Knowledge of UL and CE electrical safety requirements.
  • Experience with Labview, Digital and Analog interfaces for PCs, Test systems, etc.
  • Experience with Scopes, DVMs, Network Analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with automotive environmental, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • BSEE or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters degree preferred.
  • Relevant coursework and work experience is essential.
  • 4 or more years as a lead designer.
