Description

 Resources for the Future (RFF) is a nonprofit, non-advocacy research and public policy organization that focuses on a variety of natural resource, public health, and environmental issues. Established in 1952, the organization is committed to both scholarly excellence and policy analysis. Researchers at RFF address a wide range of issues including benefit-cost analysis of environmental and other health and safety regulations; economics of public health and disease interventions; the economics of energy and the environment, forestry, biodiversity, water, and other resources; issues related to the environment and the economy of developing countries; and conceptual modeling and analysis of public policy pertaining to these topics.

Resources for the Future (www.rff.org) has an opening for Full-time Library Intern (Part-time during Academic Year), for work in 80-person social science research organization located near DuPont Circle. A candidate should have experience or strong interest in taxonomy and/or archival work preferred. Familiarity with MS Office, including Access, Library of Congress classification and OCLC World Cat desirable, so library experience is preferred. Individual will assist with circulation, shelving, and inter-library loan. Other responsibilities include assistance on special projects.

Thirty-five hours a week: June-August -- approximately twenty-one hours a week: Sept.-May. Monday-Friday, between 9-5- $10.00/hour.  To assist with circulation, shelving, inter-library loan. Other responsibilities include assistance on special projects. Experience or strong interest in taxonomy and/or archival work preferred.
