Position Summary:
The Investor Relations Director will report to the Vice President of IR and, in this newly created position will become the Investor Relations lead in a number of critical areas, including multiple internal and external day to day relationships in our strategic, results-oriented investor relations program for investor and analyst audiences.
Key Responsibilities:

Assume lead role in representing Investor Relations in the planning and execution of investor events related to ceftolozane/tazobactam, from Ph 3 data through launch.

Act as primary day-to-day contact with Cubist’s expanding sell side coverage community—initially partnering with the Head of IR and gradually owning the lead role for these proactive and reactive communications.

Prepare quarterly assessment of sell side sentiment based on analysis of post earnings sell side notes and conversation

Work closely with the Head of IR, as well as Cubist’s CEO, CFO, CSO and President in the development of:

Earnings Call scripts
-
Quarterly reports and (as topics require) presentations to Senior Management and the Board of Directors.

Shadowing the Head of IR for annual Proxy Outreach to large CBST holders

Gradually assume shared role with Head of IR to confidently, and within disclosure rules, respond to many questions that come in via email and phone from CBST current and potential investors.

Proactively interact with functional areas including, but not limited to: Finance, Legal, Corporate Communications, Program Management, New Product Planning and Commercial teams for input/coordination of messaging and timing of communication with the investment community around key product and program milestones.

Team with Senior Associate IR to plan and track prioritized Buy side and Sell side outreach by Cubist IR

Anticipate and prepare to respond to analyst and investor inquiries (working with Corp Com on preparation of timely FAQs)

Collaborate with key internal constituents

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS degree required.
-
10 years of relevant business history – at least 5 years in IR (2 or more at Sr Mgr/Director level at a midcap company); sell side experience a plus

Demonstrated expertise in communicating with financial analysts/ portfolio managers

Excellent analytical skills
-
Experience working directly with “C-suite” on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

MBA, PhD a plus

Ideally some experience with financial modeling;

Experience in Healthcare/acute-care therapeutic area(s)
