Description

CIMA+ currently has an opportunity for an Intermediate or Senior Bridge Engineer to join the growing team of professionals in our Transportation Group in Saskatoon or Regina. In this role, you will contribute your knowledge and experience in bridge design while bringing a fresh outlook to the team.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Project management
  • Structural analysis and design
  • Preparation of technical specifications
  • Professional sealing of design documents
  • Report writing
  • Technical engineering support
  • Inspection during construction

 

Qualifications

Ideally you have 5 - 10 years of experience in the design, rehabilitation and construction of bridges utilizing prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel and timber components. You are proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex structures and you are fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.

As a team-player you are well organized with excellent interpersonal skills and are able to work under occasional pressure within tight timeframes. Experience in the design of bridges to provincial and city standards in the Province of Saskatchewan and other parts of Canada and in the design and construction of buildings would be an asset. This position is an opportunity to work within a well-established and successful group that offers a diverse range of projects, technical challenges and career development opportunities.

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge design.
  • Minimum requirements include excellent communication skills,
  • Engineering degree from a recognized institution (preferably civil-structural),
  • P. Eng. qualified member of APEGS
