CIMA+ is presently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to work at the company’s Vaughan office. 

 

Role and responsibilities :

• Civil design, structural refurbishments, repairs and modifications of existing power facilities and substations;
• Civil structural design of new power facilities and electrical substations (concrete and steel structures);
• Organize, draft and coordinate the production of various reports to ensure technical consistency and the inclusion of appropriate documentation;
• Preparation and /or review of studies, design criteria, design reports, plans and specifications, and quality assurance reviews of related designs;
• Mentoring and overseeing the professional development of other personnel;
• Perform field inspections;
• Ensure engineering coordination with other disciplines and clients.

 

Requirements :

• Minimum 10 years' experience in Civil Engineering (structures);
• A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. We will consider a combination of education and experience in performing similar work equivalent to our requirements;
• Experience in substation design work is an asset;
• P.Eng license or eligibility for PEO registration.
