CIMA+ is currently seeking applications for the position of a Senior Bridge Engineer who can assist a dynamic and growing sector with some of our upcoming projects.
Roles & responsibilities :

Serving in a key capacity as the principal design engineer on project teams preparing and assembling plans and contract documents on minor and major roadway/bridge structural projects;

Lead Bridge Design/Rehabilitation projects from conception to completion;

Performing and reviewing complex calculations in compliance with standards and specifications;

Managing complex technical tasks;

Support the development of new business for the group;
-
Mentoring junior engineers and technicians;

Provide assistance to the Project Manager as necessary.
Professionnal requirements :
-
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline - Structural focus;

15+ years of progressive work experience on roadway/bridge structural projects;

Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Ontario;

Consulting engineering experience is preferred;

Excellent verbal and communication skills are a must;

Experience in the delivery of final contract plans for roadway/bridge structural projects on-time and within budget while delivering high value to clients;

Proficient user of accepted roadway/bridge structural design software;

Familiar with Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, CAN/CSA-S6-06 and Ontario Provincial Standards (OPS);

Strong knowledge of advanced techniques for roadway/bridge structural engineering theories, precepts and practice;

Experience with bridge load ratings, bridge safety inspections, and preparation of technical and inspection reports is a plus;

Experience on roadway/bridge structural design-build projects is a plus.
