Will work under the direction of the General Manager, the Director Project Management will be responsible for client liaison, management of staff, project management related to land development. The incumbent requires the ability to handle significant projects; client and government agency responsibility and effectiveness in working with a team. The Director Project Management/ Business Development responsibilities will include driving growth and ensuring the continued success, while demonstrating your client relationship management skills.

General Duties:

Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals and establish budgets and schedules;

Maintain close liaison with clients to resolve all project questions, such as, but not limited to, technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries;

Review with peers all project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget;

Supervise work of all project personnel to ensure that it meets the CIMA+ professional standards;
-
Develop contract pricing and administration instructions for alignment with the cost breakdown structure, bid evaluations and company counter estimates to support contract award recommendations;

Management of project tasks, schedules, budgets, cost control processes and work procedures;

Coordinate business development activities including identifying and pursuing potential marketing opportunities;

Project proposal development and presentations;
-
Establish and maintain client relationships and actively market the services of the company;

Liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities and contractors.
Qualifications :
-
Minimum of 15-20 years industry experience in project services management positions;

Project Management Professional (PMP) designation required;
-
Must understand best practices for sustainable development;
-
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment;
-
Possess strong understanding of the construction environment and advanced project management levels.
Education, work experience and other requirements:

A university degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications Certification as Project Services Manager and in construction experience at increasing levels of responsibility;

Experience working with Federal, Provincial, Municipal, development sector and private sector clients in planning and development matters;

Must have or able to obtain secret clearance;

Valid Driver’s license and vehicle is required.
Skills:

Demonstrated success and expertise in identify, implement and maintaining the complete controls structure, tools and procedures needed for the project ;

In-depth understanding of contract administration services and requirements;

Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English, French would be an asset;

Initiative and an ability to work independently while leading a team of professionals;

Outstanding abilities in multi-disciplinary project teamwork and coordination;

Proficient in project proposal preparation and presentations;

Experience and aptitude for business development and marketing.
