Primary Responsibility:

  •  Develop, improve and sustain production quality control systems and personnel

Job Scope:

  • Establish and maintain quality business processes and systems for the SOI manufacturing group including change management, control of non-conforming product, internal audit, process and product control
  • Manage and supervise staff employed in destructive test lab and manufacturing support roles
  • Sustain TS16949 certification
  • Support 7x24 manufacturing operation
  • Provide rapid response to customer concerns
  • Continue to develop, improve and document IT systems used to monitor product quality and generate quality conformance data
  • Seek out and implement operation cost and labor saving opportunities within SOI QA team and the SOI production group as a whole
  • Support all groups involved with SOI development and integration
  • Facilitate implementation of all Corporate Quality guidelines and policies to ensure SOI operations are compliant

Job Related Experience:

  • Experience in quality engineering field is essential, prior semiconductor experience is advantageous
  • Experience with business processes and IT systems
  • Data mining is essential; SQL experience is advantageous
  • Hand-on experience with development and sustaining of SPC, FMEA, 8D programs
  • Knowledge of 5S, Lean, 8D, Poke-Yoke as applied in HVM facilities
  • Detailed knowledge of statistical methods of data analysis and process control is desired
  • Understanding of cleanroom practices and protocols
  • Ability to draft clear and concise procedures and operating instructions
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to all relevant company manufacturing execution systems
  • Knowledge of metrology and test methodology employed to inspect production is a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with operations, equipment and engineering groups as well as presentation to management and customers
  • Working knowledge of ISO, TS and VDA auditing practices


  •  BS and MS Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Ceramic, Metallurgic, etc.
  • Semiconductor or Silicon Wafer Manufacturing a plus
