MLF LexServ, located in Bethesda, MD, is an independent joint venture between Maple Life Financial and Cantor Fitzgerald. Our company provides a full-range of portfolio servicing options to investment banks, lending institutions, hedge funds, and private equity groups engaged in the secondary life insurance market. We provide our clients with post-acquisition administrative and asset management services.
In response to the continued and steady growth of our business, we are seeking an organized and analytical individual to join our Team. This position provides an exciting employment opportunity for self-motivated individuals to help shape the ongoing development of our organization.
The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the interface between LexServ’s business and IT functions. The BA will work with our business teams to identify changes for the ServiceTrack™ software application, develop requirements, and see changes through the development life cycle. The BA will also be responsible coordination of data transitions associated with onboarding of new life insurance portfolios. The BA will report to the Manager of Policy and Portfolio Analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identifies and maintains a priority list for all LexServ IT enhancements.

Works with team managers to determine priority of all IT enhancements.

Works with business team to identify and document IT requirements.

Interprets business requirements for the IT team to ensure enhancements meet business needs.

Develops test plans and coordinates deployment efforts for all IT enhancements.

Oversees LexServ reporting. Ensures reports developed are accurate and meet presentation standard.

Coordinates data transition for new portfolios and works with the IT team to load new portfolios to ServiceTrack™.

Works with the team managers and assists with on-boarding of other service data (document files, file inventory / verification, etc.).

Coordinates reporting set-up for new clients and facilitates system and IT needed to meet client reporting expectations.

Assists with the ongoing maintenance of Business Process Flows.

Proactively identifies solutions to automate manual work, improve efficiency, and lower the overall delivery cost of our services.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree

Strong oral & written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills, a pro-active approach to problem resolution, and the ability to leverage these skills to identify efficiency and process improvements.

Ability to translate requirement concepts between business and technical personnel.

Ability to multi-task, keep necessary priority, and focus on each individual task until successfully completed.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Life Insurance experience is a plus, but not required.

2 years minimum experience in a related field.
