We are looking for a motivated, dedicated professional who wants to combine their skills with our uniquely talented team to change the current paradigm of drug discovery and development. This candidate will be working in the Corporate Office located in Dublin, California – just a 10 minute shuttle ride from the Dublin-Pleasanton BART station.
 
  • Creates standard SAS programs and macros to generate report-quality summary tables, listings and graphical presentations of clinical data.

 

  • Maintains documentation of standard programs and reports used within the Biometrics and Data Management (BDM) group.

 

  • Prepares programs for creating analysis data sets and associated tables, listings and graphs used for interim analyses, final analysis, press releases, and presentations and publications.

 

  • Assists the study team statistician to complete the Statistical Analysis Plans required for different clinical studies.

 

  • Understanding of CDISC structure for datasets and ability to merge relational database records (PROC SQL)

 

  • Reviews and provides appropriate input to the design of Case Report Forms or Electronic Data Capture screens

 

  • Reviews clinical data for inappropriate, illogical and/or inconsistent values. Develops and programs electronic checks to assist data management and clinical with monitoring and scrubbing of clinical trial data as needed
  • Assists with resolution of unique queries that may arise during the data management and statistical analysis process
  • Provides ad-hoc data listings and summary information as requested by members of the BDM and Clinical groups
  • Performs quality control with respect to the data to be analyzed and the programs to be used for the analysis
  • Adheres to the standard computer directory and file structures used within the BDM group and Clinical department
  • Interacts with the BDM group and other Astex personnel to maintain high level of cooperation professional integrity

Education

Masters degree in Statistics with 5-8 years experience
