Nature & Scope:

Reporting to the Director, Merchandise, h/she will consistently deliver key support in executing strategies that maximize sales and margin for specific product categories within the retail environment. You will fulfill the position’s responsibility for forecasting and inventory management, which will include reacting to current business trends.


Key accountabilities and responsibilities include the following

  • Creates seasonal departmental plans by incorporating Company strategy set by the Director, department and buyer.
  • Manages OTB and reviews with Director to propose strategies to maintain sales, markdowns, turns, IMO% (percentages) and GM $ (amounts).
  • Provides quantitive analysis to support the business needs including size analysis, markdown recommendations, store grading, and store assortment planning
  • Manages basics programs by forecasting out sales and receipts, maintains in constant communication with vendor when handling orders
  • Works with Allocators to ensure store inventories are according to trends and performance
  • Assists Buyers in adding style information into PDM, sales order confirmations, sending out purchase orders, sign backs, revisions on orders and communicating with the different divisions to ensure correct information is inputted

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Diploma and/or Degree in Business
  • 3+ years retail planning and merchandising experience
  • Experience with retail merchandising systems & merchandise planning systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel


Working Conditions:

  • Office environment
  • Overtime when required.
  • Travel when required
