The purpose of the PPC Digital Marketing Specialist is to drive new client acquisition through a variety of digital platforms with a focus on optimizing acquisition metrics such as cost per click (CPC), click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, cost per acquisition (CPA), ROAS, and ROI by channel and media campaign.
What’s it like working as a PPC Digital Marketing Specialist at Questrade?
As the PPC Digital Marketing Specialist you will support Questrade’s online advertising programs (search and display), working with relevant stakeholders and executing against strategies to realize identified goals. You will plan, setup, and execute online advertising campaigns within specified budgets and provide an ongoing analysis and improve search and display marketing campaigns. You will provide the day to day management and optimization of online advertising efforts (search, display). You’re responsible for the development and execution of online advertising campaigns to generate qualified leads and deliver continuous growth and improvement against key metrics.

We’ll refer to you as the online advertising guru. You will plan, manage, and execute PPC campaigns, including but not limited to account setup, organization, ongoing management, budgets, and performance testing/optimization. You will execute and manage paid online marketing campaigns across various platforms, including but not limited to search, display, social advertising. You will develop, maintain, and optimize existing and future online advertising campaigns, while working on keyword research and ad copy development. You will work with our technology teams, project managers, and the communications team to develop campaign assets (banners, text ads). Using Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics, you will track, measure, evaluate and optimize online advertising performance. You’re responsible for developing and maintaining campaign level reporting, deploying performance tracking and analytics, and generating campaign reports on a regular basis. You will continually look for insights to improve future campaign performance and proactively research campaign issues and formulate actionable solutions from your findings. In addition, you will manage campaign expenses, stay on budget, estimate monthly costs and reconcile discrepancies.
You’re the subject matter expert when it comes to online advertising and will share your knowledge with the team, while using it to address current business challenges. You will monitor PPC trends, best practices and techniques to ensure correct account spend/growth and identification of new opportunities. You have the knowledge and desire to continuously develop your skills in performance digital marketing and advertising channels, including: display advertising, SEM, SEO, social media, and mobile marketing. You keep current with industry best practices to stay ahead of the curve. You’re a true team player and will actively participate in and support with other projects when required.
