The purpose of the Manager, Analytics & Online Advertising is to lead and develop strategy, planning, and tactics to generate qualified leads via online marketing to deliver continuous growth and improvement against key metrics. In addition, to lead the development of analytics frameworks for the measurement and continuous improvement of marketing initiatives across multi-channel touch points.
What’s it like working as a Manager, Analytics & Online Advertising at Questrade?
You will be responsible for the design strategy and tactics to drive online advertising programs to increase lead generation and client conversions to improve marketing ROI. You will oversee the development of strategy and planning of ongoing campaigns to meet marketing objectives and ongoing performance analysis. As well as the day to day management and optimization of online marketing campaigns (search, display, content, SEO), you will lead marketing analytics initiatives, engage with executives and teams to prioritize and execute work, provide mentorship to the analytics team, and enhance the delivery of analytics data and insights at Questrade. That’s not all! You’re also responsible for overseeing all marketing analytics initiatives and will be accountable for delivering high quality, timely insights, and recommendations on strategic projects. Your role encompasses marketing analytics, online advertising, and team management. Can you do it all?
You will develop analytical frameworks to support and facilitate strategic decision making, and to identify opportunities for the business. You’re a leader after all! You will lead marketing analytics team to provide analysis and application of lead/client data to inform strategic business decisions and drive conversions. You will use analytics tools to track, measure, evaluate and optimize performance of marketing programs and online advertising initiatives. You will manage these tools to deliver relevant, actionable, and insightful reporting to shape future site development and to inform marketing strategies. You will also develop tagging/tracking specifications for implementation to ensure appropriate data capture in alignment with measurement and optimization strategies. You will analyze competitive environment and identify trends, formulate insight, conclusions and recommendations which will help to continuously improve the internal analytics processes both within the team and within internal technologies. You will investigate and oversee the assessment of emerging analytics platforms and makes recommendations for adoption. You will support the design and development of predictive models and behavioral analyses to enhance targeting, increase revenue, generate cost savings, and allocate resources more efficiently. You will maintain a strong understanding of Questrade’s service offering, the relationships with vendors, existing business models and the flows of data in the business. You will be the subject matter expert on online marketing trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
You’ll lead Questrade’s online advertising programs, working with relevant stakeholders and developing strategies to realize identified goals. You will manage strategy and planning of paid search initiatives, lead optimization efforts to meet specified objectives, and manage ongoing performance analysis throughout the duration of each campaign. You will execute and manage paid online marketing campaigns across various platforms, including but not limited to: search, display, content. You will drive online advertising strategy and tactics, as well as implement new initiatives to increase customer conversions and drive overall digital performance. You will coordinate strategies with internal teams to develop fully integrated campaigns. You will work closely with all search partners to manage performance and ensure adoption of latest technology and products. You will establish and maintain positive relationships with online advertising partners (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.), and understand service offerings, capabilities, and requirements. You will create and execute a complete SEO strategy, including but not limited to: site architecture, keyword analysis, meta tags, categorization, social media optimization, video marketing. You will also provide SEO best practice training to the communications team. You will manage overall SEM and ongoing online advertising budget to ensure funds are being spent effectively and as scheduled. You will provide support to Finance Department for billing and online advertising invoicing. You will also provide insight and best practices to management team for online advertising programs in order to continue to improve program performance.

You will participate in the training, individual development, on-boarding and mentoring of team members. You will also assist in developing a team growth plan, with a focus on building experience and knowledge within the department.
