Description

Purpose of the Job:

Meridian has lofty aspirations in online and mobile banking. To help deliver on our digital strategy, we are looking for a passionate, digitally savvy and driven individual. Reporting to the Director of Digital Banking, the Digital Banking Specialist will be responsible for assisting with development of business cases and business requirements for digital banking initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience as both a business analyst and User Experience (UX) designer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Digital Banking Analyst in executing the digital banking strategy. This includes development of new and enhanced functionality, as well as monitoring of existing services to continually improve user experience
  • Research and source data to assist with business cases and requirements gathering.
  • Development of wireframes.
  • Management and distribution of digital / web analytics.
  • Embody a digital thought leader within the organization, keeping abreast of trends and developments in digital technology across the globe, focused on, but not limited to digital banking and mobile applications.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the organization and integrate seamlessly by developing and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues and outside agency partners.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Genuine passion for digital technology is a must.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a business analyst focused on digital banking (or other self-service, secure applications) and/or experience as a UX designer in a similar area.
  • Experience working with large cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in, or closely with, Information Technology
  • Experience with digital/web analytics tools as asset
  • Experience as a web designer and knowledge of HTML/CSS and Javascript an asset
  • Detailed oriented, with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Capacity to work with minimal supervision and ability to handle multiple projects
