Indal Technologies enjoys an international reputation as a first-class manufacturer of engineered products and systems for government, defence, and commercial customers. We have an immediate opportunity for a Test Technician at our offices in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
The Opportunity
Conduct performance and qualification test to military specifications in accordance with established test procedures. All candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance through the Canadian Government.
Position Responsibilities

Installation and set-up of production naval equipment into test rigs/fixtures

Operation/functional loading of test articles
-
Qualifying test data acquired through various test practices
-
Operate/configure data acquisition to meet test requirements
-
Carry out routine preventative maintenance on test equipment

Routine clean-up of work area

Usage of forklift and crane to handle awkward test items

Adherence to occupational safety regulations
-
Must be eligible for security clearance from Canadian Government

Possession of a valid Canadian passport with no restrictions to travel to the U.S
Essential Skills and Experience
A strong technical background in both hydraulics and electrical electronic controls plus hands on experience in the operation of these types of equipment.

Experience in the connection of voltages up to 600VAC 3ø and up to 5000 PSI hydraulic pressure

Data acquisition experience

Lean manufacturing – 6S
-
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
Minimum Education Requirements
Diploma or certificate from an accredited technical institute.
