Localization Business Development Manager, Tokyo
Main Role: New business development of Japanese market mainly targeting Software, IT and Manufacturing industries
Location: Tokyo, Japan

Our client, a global localization leader with more than 10 offices worldwide, is a strong player and already has many prestigious clients in a wide range of sectors, including IT, software, web-based tools, technical documentation, and marketing. For their Tokyo office, they are now looking for a strong BDM professional who can drive the growth of their Japan business as a first step, and of other APAC markets.
Key responsibilities:

Agree or set sales strategy and targets for one or more geographical areas and industry sectors

New business development
-
Identify all key decision makers, contributors and influencers
-
Develop in depth knowledge of customer business, localization strategy and goals

Quote & proposal creation
-
Account management
-
Local marketing
-
Problem-solving
-
Liaise with customers
-
Long-term strategy and planning with internal teams and customers
-
Liaise with PR and marketing to ensure support of the sales effort

Customer presentations
-
Write/approve quotations and proposals to customers
-
Contract negotiation and liaison with legal experts
-
Work closely with production to agree processes, pricing, time-scales and costs
-
Implement or negotiate agreed profit margins

Report feedback from customers to production

Give team members feedback on performance on an ongoing basis and conduct formal performance reviews

Optional: Monitor implementation phase

Optional: Get involved in problem-solving with customers
Key skills:

Sales experience: more than 2 years
-
Localization experience is preferable, but we are also open to promising sales people with experience from solution selling in other industries

Language: Japanese native and English (business level)

Good PC operation (MS office)
