In response, TNTP develops customized programs and policy interventions that enable education leaders to find, develop and keep great teachers.
Every year, TEACH Charlotte gives outstanding professionals and recent college graduates the opportunity to improve the odds for kids by becoming teachers committed to raising student achievement in the classrooms that need them most. In the next year, TEACH Charlotte will provide Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), a school district that U.S Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has celebrated as a “model for innovation in urban education,” with more than 100 high quality teachers concentrated in high-need subject areas such as math, science, Spanish and special education.
